Where M8 marks are lost
M8's 8 chapters run from asset types and financial markets to unit trusts, and chapter 5 is the time value of money, which means calculations. You get 50 questions in an hour, about 72 seconds each, and need 35 right. Practise the sums against a timer so they don't eat the minutes you need for the rest. A wrong answer costs nothing extra, so never leave one blank.

SCI charges S$109.00 for a weekday sitting before 5pm and S$127.53 after 5pm if you register through an SCI or IBF member company, or S$130.80 and S$149.33 if you do not. Every figure includes GST and the registration fee, weekend sittings cost the after-5pm rate, and a retake costs the same as a first attempt.
