Where HI marks are lost
HI fits 15 chapters into a 50-question paper. Four of them are products that are easy to mix up: medical expense, disability income, long-term care and critical illness insurance, each with its own benefits and terms. Then come pricing, underwriting, MAS Notice 120 on disclosure, and case studies. You have 75 minutes and need 35 right. A wrong answer costs nothing extra, so never leave one blank.

SCI charges S$109.00 for a weekday sitting before 5pm and S$119.90 after 5pm or at the weekend, including GST and a S$10.90 registration fee. A retake costs the same as a first attempt. Figures as listed on scicollege.org.sg on 11 October 2026.
